EnergySmart Schools (ESS)
ESS campaign is designed to motivate schools to use energy wisely, and help them do it. ESS was founded in 1998 by the US Department of Energy. It is managed by the DOE’s Office of Building Technology, State and Community Programs, and operated through Rebuild America, a program that helps schools and other building operators create local partnerships to plan and implement cost-saving building improvements using energy efficiency and renewable energy.

National Center for Education Statistics (NCES)
NCES is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data that are related to education in the United States and other nations. NCES fulfills a Congressional mandate to collect, collate, analyze, and report complete statistics on the condition of American education; conduct and publish reports; and review and report on education activities internationally

National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities (NCEF)
NCEF is only an archived resource site as of Sept. 1, 2013. NCEF is an information resource for people who plan, design, build, operate and maintain K-12 schools. NCEF is an affiliated Clearinghouse of the National Library of Education's Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC).

U.S. Department of Education (DOE)
DOE is the primary federal agency responsible for meeting the educational needs of the United States. DOE’s responsibilities generally fall into six important areas: providing national leadership and partnerships to address critical issues in American education, serving as a national clearinghouse of good ideas, helping families pay for college, helping local communities and schools meet the most pressing needs of their students, preparing students for employment in a changing economy, and ensuring nondiscrimination by recipients of federal education funds.
