Searchable State Public School Facility Policies

The 21st Century School Fund, as a consortium partner with the National Center on School Infrastructure (NCSI), is working to shed light on public school facility policy and practice across all U.S. states and territories. Use the menu on the upper left to access a searchable database of state policies that is organized around the elements of educational facilities stewardship.

The collection and descriptions of state facility roles and responsibilies is an ongoing project. As of April 2026, policies from 18 states are in the database. We welcome comments on this policy hub to ensure its relevance and continuous improvement.
